Meanwhile you can see the ones I have added when you click on the yellow smilie in the bar above your reply window that you get when you click new topic, reply or quote. If you hover over a smilie you can also see the keystrokes with which you can also make them appear in your post.

A kudo is a compliment or a 'good vote'. If you like a thread you can click the little thumbs-up sign in the left upper corner to give it a kudo. The number of kudo's a thread has been given will show up next to that sign and in the list of threads on the forum index page.
