Master of the House (Admin) Permanent Resident Posts: 6264 10/07/2008 06:04 Queen of Green	Tags : None Hopefully, I'm not the only one. If I remember correctly, Lari once said that she watches it too. Each season keeps getting better and better! My favorite dancer this season is Will, the contemporary dancer who trained with Debbie Allen. He can do everything! I feel bad for his partner, though. All of the judges keep bashing her. Did you hear what that one judge...what's her name...Mia Michaels said to Will? How "he looks tired of carrying" his partner for the whole show and needs a new partner?! Poor girl. She can't help it. The "Bollywood" dance tonight was a pleasant surprise. I've been getting bored with all the Sambas and Mambos and Viennese Waltzes and Broadway routines. James would fit right in there. I'm extra excited for the show tomorrow night because the hostess announced that 3 dancers from Alvin Ailey will be performing. A girl who I used to take dance classes with (well, she was a girl back then and must now be a woman ) is a principal dancer for Alvin Ailey, so maybe she'll be on there! In case you watch the show and she's on it, her name is Alicia Graf and she's extra tall with really long legs. Signature by Hannah Kipje!

The Help (Mod Squad) Permanent Resident Posts: 3598 11/07/2008 06:21 Canadian Sweetheart	OMG YES!!! haha I watch it!!! Honestly though, I watched seasons 2 and 3 more than I've watched this season (mostly due to having classes wednesday nights before, now I can watch wednesday night episode, but I miss the results show. I never watched season 1 though. Who was voted off this week, Emi? I have a few favourite dancers this season. I like Twitch, Kherington (i know I got the spelling wrong! lol), Gev and Katee. Though, I quite like Courtney (Gev's partner). Are they switching up the partnering for next week's episode? I think I remember hearing Nigel mention that. Oh, Will is really good too, but I dunno he worked with Debbie Allen already so I find he's already got the advantage there unlike some of the other dancers. The Bollywood routine was AWESOME!!! Joshua and Katee did a fabulous job with it!! From Season 2, I absolutely ADORED Benji and what's his name...I want to call him Tyler LOL But I don't think thats his name... It should come to me... I really liked one of the girls too, but their names I can't remember except for a few and none are the right ones. lol From Season 3, I really liked Neil and Sabra. I was very pleased with Sabra winning!!

And they have been threatening to start the US one as soon as this year's Big Brother finishes in about a week. I usually see the first episodes - the selection process, not through design but because there is precious little on when it is shown. I don't take much interest until towards the end when they are down to a handful of couples. Same thing goes for all the singing reality shows too.

This past Thursday's show was a bit unsettling because Twitch & Kherington, and Will & his partner were in the bottom 3 couples. That shows that "America" is pretty much voting for their favorite couple that week, rather than their favorite couple of the season. Next week they do start switching partners, which should be fun to watch. Of the girls, I also like Courtney and Kherington. I didn't like Kherington much up until this week because I thought she was too girly and sliding by on her looks. This past week, however, I thought she did an awesome job with that krump routine. She really proved that she can get down with the rest of 'em. From Season 2, Benji was also my favorite. Travis was great, too. The girl I liked (whose name I forget ) was the girl who was Benji's partner in the beginning and specialized in hip hop. She was one of the top 4. From Season 3, one of my favorites was Pasha just because he's such a cutie. Sabra really did deserve to win, though. Seli, it's not pathetic to have 2 So You Think You Can Dance's showing at the same time. It's brilliant!! Signature by Hannah Kipje!

I definitely agree that they chose the right people to leave, even without seeing the results show. Have you noticed the trend this year though? That usually its an actual dance pair to go home and not just a random boy and girl. I don't really remember that happening in past seasons. Ohh...I think that's the first time Twitch and Kherington have been in the bottom 3 too...I'm glad neither were sent home! Will's partners name is Jessica, I believe! She's a good dancer, but I don't always find her to be that strong and that possibly she's going so far due to how great of a dancer Will is. Not to say she can't hold her own at times. Ooo, exciting, yet nerve wrecking! The switching of the partners will show how well they can dance with other partners of other genres and "builds" if you will. lol OH! Travis! haha I knew his name started with a 'T'. I loved him! Their geek routine...omg that's one of my favourites of all time for sure! Yes, I liked her too...her name started with a 'D'...its not Daniella, but it was something along those lines. I think the other girl I liked was Allison from that season. lol You must've been excited to see Pasha and Anya as choreographers this past week then! Seli, it's okay. Here in Canada they are making their own 'So You Think You Can Dance' as well. I think its kinda pathetic, but I'll watch it just because I love the US show and would love to compare it! Plus one of the judges, who is apparently also the Jonas Brothers choreographer, is REALLY good-looking! Too bad he's married. lol

That other girl who looks like Uma Thurman (Kortnee?) was sent home the same week as her partner was, which I think was a mistake. Comfort definitely should've gone home before her. Yeah, Emi, I definitely agree with you about (and I think this is how you spell her name) Kourtni. She was much better than Comfort. I never really liked Comfort much. I even thought the judges saying she was the best in her genre was wrong as I thought Sara from last season was WAY better!! I don't remember the shirt routine, but I do remember a shirtless Will! lol Does that count? Ohh, that one was SO sweet! Heidi was a great dancer too. It's funny, unless you talk with someone who's also a fan you forget these other really great routines! LOL Ah, the "Sexy Back" routine. Now that I found SO hot!!! wow!! fans self Last season, I really loved the bumblebee and the flower one that Hok and the girl did, Sabra and Neil's table routine, and the finale with the two princes "fighting" each other for throne. Boy oh boy was that ever freaky and masculine! Amazing though!! Awwww, your poor dad! LOL It took me a few seconds to key into the whole message thing! Then I burst out laughing!

It's awesome that he's not just another Contemporary dancer, but he has something special. Chelsea is such a good dancer, as well. It's surprising how well she moves within genres, especially since she's a ballroom dancer. He always creates such hilarious/serious pieces. Hok was amazing in that hummingbird one and he was probably my second favorite guy (behind Pasha, of course ). Hok is cute, an amazing dancer, and he has a British accent! What's not to love, right? Another one of my favorites from that season is the one with Benji and Heidi...was it a Mambo? Yes! Permanent Resident Posts: 4448 15/07/2008 04:18 Existing just to kiss you Board Contributor	I've been watching it this season too. I don't catch every show, but I'm pretty well on top of it. My daughter's been watching it for a couple of years now and has got me onto it. I like Twitch and Kherington. Katee is really good too. Actually, I don't dislike any of them. At this stage of the competition, they're all excellent. It's going to get tougher seeing the dancers get eliminated now - just like American Idol when they get down to the Top 5 or 6. I want to watch SO badly, but I also SHOULD start making notes for my mid-term on Tuesday...decisions, decisions. Watch I'll end up watching SYTYCD anyways! I'm so bad. Oh, and something I forgot to mention. My mom and brother usually just watch shows like this for their auditions. My mom thinks Mary is weird and annoying!! I think she's hilarious and a very odd woman, but I love her enthusiasm!!! Has Shane Sparks choreographed any of the routines this season? Maybe you can take notes during the commercials. I agree with your Mom: Mary is annoying. Her shrill voice drives me crazy! It's bad enough when she's talking normally, but she take it to another level when she shrieks about people being on her "hot tamale train." Usually I turn the sound down or fast-forward through her comments (I my DVR) in order to preserve my hearing. I don't remember Shane Sparks doing anything this year, either! He is so good. I love that umbrella routine he did in Season 2. Has Wade Robson done anything this year? Is anyone thinking about going to one of the shows on their tour this Fall? I went to the Season 2 tour show in DC and it was really fun. Lots of screaming preteens. The show isn't coming anywhere near where I live now, though. Signature by Hannah Kipje!

She said she would like to go see them on tour if they come to Toronto. I would too, since I've kept up with the show this season. I think Katee and Will had the best dances last night - both the Guys and Dolls segment and the other one they did - a contemporary, I think. Will and Twitch are simply amazing dancers. I think Katee is my favourite female dancer. I'm just in awe of how strong these people are! Makes me feel like such an under-achiever.

Not as exceptionally as they can, but I had great technique and danced about 8 to 10 hours a week. Now I'm just a couch potato! Weren't Katee and Will awesome this week?! I was so excited that they had a pas de deux this week. They did a wonderful job. Will is still my favorite to win. It was surprising that Jessica had to drop out of the competition. Comfort and Twitch were awesome in their hip-hop routine this week, but I am sad for Kherington. Comfort should have gone home. America got it wrong! I hope it doesn't end up like last season (or was it another season) when that Cedric just wouldn't get voted off and some better dancers left before he did. It was sad to see Gev go home tonight, too. I guess all but one have to go some time... Were you all surprised that Nigel choreographed that number for the guys? Signature by Hannah Kipje!
