I do know what you mean about the WWII uniform, and that groovy tin shell-hat they had to wear sometimes didn't help the general sartorial catastrophe. Some of those pics (the Charlie Chaplin pics ) of James in the street with Keira do make him look a bit like he's been knitted. And I think I know exactly what you're talking about when you say Charlie Chaplin; either that, or he looks like he's about to have a go at doing a pirouette.

But weirdness aside, is it just me, or does he look very, very different in these Atonement pics? Not in a bad way; James has always been good at looking 'different' as every character he plays, but he really looks unlike himself, his face is different somehow. I really think this is going to be a wonderful film.

And yes, I mean, Keira's hat is a little bit daft, but that tin lampshade effect thingie is something else I know they weren't supposed to look sexy, I know it was protection from shelling, but what is going on with that? Do you think it tops the truly terrifying porkpie hat he wears in Bollywood Queen? We do need a 'funny hats' thread.
