The other day Paula asked some good questions, so I thought I'd copy them in here in case anyone else needs the
answers.
To insert an avatar: click on "Navigation" in the upper right-hand corner of this page. Then click on "View Profile" in the upper left-hand box. Then, click on "Edit," which will be to the right of "yourscreenname.jamesmcavoy" in the upper left-hand box. Finally, click on your current generic avatar and then you can upload a new image. To add a signature: Click on "Navigation" again, "Edit Signature" in the upper left-hand box, and then "add signature" to the lower left.
On the Signature page, above TEXT Signature, you should see a box called Signature Body. In there, click on the Photobucket icon to the immediate left of the smiley icon. Then you can browse your Photobucket account for your preferred signature. |

I would like to change my on-line name to PJW or something else but I don't know how to do that. I keep clicking around in the "Navigation"
section, but am lost. I don't even know how to pm anybody.
Can anyone assist me? Thanks!

Well, changing your screen name is a question for Hannah (a.k.a The Boss), but I can help with your question about private messaging.
The easiest way is to look in the message board for a comment from the person you'd like to PM and click on the person's screen name. This will take you to their profile, where you can just click on "MESSAGE." Another way: at the top left of your screen there should be something that says "Welcome PaulaJoW! Images/Logout and then a bunch of icons. Click on the icon that looks like a letter. This takes you to your Inbox. From there you can click on "Compose New Message" at the top right of the screen. Hope that helps you, dearie!

I'm posting this here on the advice of Hannah (at least part of the post that applies). I hope someone can figure out what I'm asking
********************************************************************************** Now that I got my feet wet on this Yuku format, I do have a question I can't seem to figure out. How can I get replies to any post I've made on any topic/subject without requesting replies on each? I get a daily digest on Yuku but it gives each topic. Isn't there a way to respond to any post anywhere on your board and get a reply? I just registered for the James McAvoy Online site and that did have the option in the profile section. |

Thanks, Hannah. I shut it down and re-booted. Seems to have cleared up. Frightening! I hate when stuff like blackouts happen to the computer. Means
they're sick. I was thinking it had something to do with the Yuku maintenance last night but it could have just been my computer. No one else here has
mentioned it.

That should be in your preferences somewhere. It only happens when you select the box yourself. Let me look it up for you.

Signature question......
I'm completely new to Yuku. I'm an old hand at ezboard, but this is new. I hate having to learn how to navigate/use different forum formats! 
Anyway, I figured out how to add an avatar (as you can see <----) and I also added a signature to my profile. But how do I get it to show?? Below this reply box it says "Post options" and in the box it says "don't use a signature". When I click on the drop down menu, I get the option "ZhoraFRG's sigs", but I can't highlight or select it. 
Am I missing something important? Also, may I suggest a Testing drawer for testing avatars and sigs and posting pictures and stuff? I'm always finding that immensly helpful on other boards that I post on. Thanks in advance for the help! |

blue "add signature" box at the bottom left. Is it there?

Yes, it is there, and I have two sigs in my profile, and I set the one I wanna use as default sig, and I clicked "save" after making the
changes.......but it doesn't show, and I can't activate it under "post options".....
