The Amallow Tree
She gently slid off the left strap of her velvet, burgundy dress. Revealing to him her breast. She the did the same to the other. This time, whilst throwing her back against the old, mossy tree in the back of the McDowell property. He slowly leaned into her, and let out a soft, breathless, moan.
"I've never done anything of this sort before, Anna" He sheepishly whispered in her ear.
"Nor have I" They both lovingly smiled at one another, an continued to make passionate, romantic, yet heart-felt love to each other.
Five days passed, and Anna had not heard from her lover. Not even a simple wave while passing at the corner market, nor a carring letter had been writtin. Worried, and confused, Anna had nothing to make of the situation, and although she longed for his warm embrace once again, she tried to let it go.
"I can see a dragonfly"
"I dont see anything, nor do I wish to"
"God, Anna, when are you going to get over it! He hasnt responded to any of your letter, hasnt come to visit in weeks-"
"Days.....Days, Sara"
"Well excuse me, but being your older sister, I have the obligation to look after you and your well being"
"You dont have an obligation to anything! Your a friend, and thats as far as it goes. And your Hardly that"
"Anna, thats rude and inconsiderate. Why dont you grow up some?!?"
"Sara, you have no idea how much "growing up" I have had to do in the past week. My best friend, my guardian, and my lover is no longer here and i wish'd you sympathise with me even the slightest. But im guessing your not capable of that much emotion, are you?" Anna forcefully lifted her cream satin skirt, and ran across the field to the front door of the McDowell's.
"Why do you have to be so dramatic, Anna!"
Anna slamed the woodend door and leaned against it. Trying not to show a sign of dred, or distress, she quietly began to cry. All the while, thinking to herself how she possibly could have made such a stupid, and guvinille mistake. He was only the kindest to her, and showed her nothing but love and attention. Yet still, she could not see through the gloom of her past, and at the same time, not knowing how distructive it was.
Hours seemed to have flown by like seconds, before she realized the crowd of people standing around her. She wiped her tears with the embroidered cloth that HE had givin Anna as a peace offering, many months before.
"Its nothing, truely. Now, please excuse me but I have some sleep to catch. Im assuming its going to be a long day tomorrow."
A pale face emmerged from the crowd, starring down Anna.
"Aunt Margrett. Please. I beg of you. don't make me explain now."
Margrett winked at Anna and calmly exclaimed,
"Go on child. Every woman needs her beauty rest." Anna walked at a fast pace, but while passing her aunt, she softly said,
"Ill tell you in the morning."
The bright sun of the early morning seemed to be the only thing Anna looked forward to every day. Anna sighed as she opened, and then closed her eyes.
"Just one more time. Just once, I wish I can awake to your beaming face. Huu, how happy it made me. To stare, for hours, into those seeming endless blue windows to your soul" She soon began weaping at the thought of never seeing him again. "How can someone be so close, but so far away?" As she was about to fall back asleep, Aunt Margrett entered the room.
Margrett set down next to her neice. She swept her wrinkled hands across Anna's body and whispered,
"Dear child, what has this world done to ya?"
"Aunt Margrett, Its not right, something doesnt feel right. I glance at him, and its as if he looks right through me" Anna whimpered, "Margrett, Oh Margrett! I have to find out what going on. I cant live this a minute longer. I cant."
"I understand"
Anna's aunt left the bedroom. She slowly drifted back into a deep sleep, only to find her dreams where pleasuring, yet horrific all the same.
David Rorry barged into Anna's room.....
