I've never heard of Paolo Nutini but I'm listening to him on Youtube right now. He's really great! Cute guy too. I'll have to check his stuff
out on iTunes.

And don't forget that he is Scottish too! I like his accent and These Streets is my favourite song.
I've also loaded KT Tunstall - wonderful music really. Check these: Black Horse and the Cherry Tree, Heal Over (this one is so sweet), Hold On and Miniature Disasters - they all are great. |

mcavoyfan wrote:I just asked my daughter the other day to buy "New Shoes" for me from iTunes. I first heard it on the soundtrack to "The Jane Austen Book Club". Great song! I had no idea he was from Scotland! With a name like Paolo Nutini, I just assumed he was Italian. (I know his father is). K.T. Tunstall is great. Another fiesty Scot! hehe Saw her in concert last year. "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree" is such an awesome song! Her whole album "Eye Through The Telescope" is good.

New Shoes is a great song! I didn't know it was on Jane Austen Book Club. Now that I listen to it again, it does sound familiar.
Here it is if anyone wants a listen. You can really hear his accent when he sings "..brand new shoes".

Here's the official video for K.T. Tunstell's "Black Horse and The Cherry Tree". The colour is a little foggy, for some reason. Not sure why.
Love this video!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4fykZ3PymMo Her song "Suddenly I See" was also used as the opening song in the film "The Devil Wears Prada". |

Another great Paolo Nutini YouTube number--"Grant my last request." You can hear the Scottish accent a lot!! James is doing a great job promoting his fellow musicians from Scotland. |

Two of my favorite Paolo Nutini songs are "Jenny don't be hasty" and "New Shoes." They're great for exercise music--if you're
looking for something with a good beat.
"Grant my last request" (above post) is a heart-rending song, but I find myself biking much SLOWER when it's playing--it's just too sad. |

If you get a chance, Larisie, go see K.T. Tunstall in concert. She played The Danforth Music Hall last year. Excellent!

Know you've go it bad...
When you rethink your opinion on the Gonnies film, just because its his favourtie movie. When you come to this website everyday to talk about him with other fans. Search for him on the web everyday. When you watch any movie hes in....Or rewatch a movie hes in that you wouldnt normally...to fastford to his part. When you think Scotland is basically one of the best places in the world (even though after being there I dont need McAvoy interest to know that) When you watch an interview on youtube over and over again.... When you watch an interview about a film you havent seen and have no idea what they are talking about....but are basically listening to the accent!!!! |
