YEAH
Enjoy it when it comes in.
I'm waiting, patiently, for the 15th of July when it's released in the States.

My Penelope DVD is on the way, too!!!
Finally I'll be able to see the full UK version (I think the one Hannah and I saw in April was the American one...) |

What is different about them, pattichan?

I didn't know that there was a difference. Was the version on the internet (watch-movies.net) the American one?
I will walk into town tomorrow and buy my dvd so I can see if there is a difference. I hope you all enjoy your dvd's too, when they come.

We didn't hear one swearword in the version Patti and I saw, and we heard there were a couple in the 'uncut'
version, so that is why we figured we got the bad version (which I had not expected in Holland), but I am curious to see what we missed as well

The version we got here was the "complete" one, then: a couple of 'shits' and the longer scene of Max playing the instruments.

Exactly, Hannah! I'm really curious to see the "complete" version...

From what I've found, the Region 1 dvd will have the following extras:
*The making of a modern day tale *Wide screen and standard on one disc (don't really count that as an extra) *Plus, exclusive sneak peak at Twilight the upcoming movie based on the best selling book series by Stepheine Meyer Now, I'm all for that "making of a modern day tale", but those are not extras to be bragging about IMO. Where are the deleated scenes? The extended scenes?

I have a bootleg of the non-American version. Don't like it. I'm anxious for the North American version to come out in July.

I have seen both versions and they are quite a bit different. I watched it online at first on watch-movies.net and then I watched my dvd yesturday. Like
mentioned before the swearing was all cut, the instrument scene was a totally different cut, and various other scenes were cropped too.
I like the fact that they have done that, we get to see 2 different versions. I still may find myself watching both versions because they are so different. I thought it was funny when

Pattychan, that makes everyone watching Wanted jealous of you!
It is nice timing for James fans around the world. Penelope has timed its release dates very carefully to coincide with his other release dates, especially considering Penelope was made so much earlier. But I'll take a new movie or DVD anytime, anywhere. Enjoy watching Penelope, over and over and over again. |

I was quite disappointed with my DVD, where are the bonus features like deleted scenes? They aren't there
Also, I prefered the version I watched online, this is the cut down version and my favourite moment from the film is gone - But on the bright side, James on DVD is good enough for me

Did you get the US version, Soph? I was told the UK version had the good stuff.

I have the UK version but it really doesn't have anything special for special features....there is the UK trailer, a photo gallery (I think there's
only one picture of James), a small featurette (only five minutes and james appears twice talking about his character, but it seems those clips were taken from
the Movieweb Penelope interviews with him).

Awwweee man, I love the deleted scenes. I don't believe they are on the US version either.

Last week I've finally seen Penelope on the big screen. It was amazing! I was jumping off my seat seeing James. The audience really loved the movie,
wondering who was this handsome actor and on my way out from the cinema I was hissing "You fools, how could like Penelope and hate Atonement? James is in
both of them and you noticed him only here, shame on you!"

To be fair, those two films do attract two very different kind of cinema audience Oxy.. I would not have gone to
Penelope for instance if it wasn't for James.
