NOTE: With You Tube videos click on Use Old Embed Code box. On JMMB: Click on Insert Flash (immediate right of smiley icons); then click on Add from HTML. Owns spare key to the front door Posts: 531 Mar 1 12 12:20 PM	Ok... First thread I read entirely! I allowed myself a little pause before resuming work... This board is indeed different firm the ones I was used to but I love new things and challenging myself! Lol My question is more asking for verification actually. Is there a minimum of posts to unlock things on the forums like posting a new topic etc? I already noticed that I couldn't add an avatar until I posted twice. I cannot post yet a new topic. I tried to start my own thread in the fanart section because I have some art to share and as I plan to do more, I didn't want to flood another creative thread. When trying I got an error message telling me I didn't have the permission to do that. Is it normal and then how many posts do I need to be able to initiate a topic, or is it just a bug? For information, I use my iPad with Safari most of the time to wander around here so I know it makes some parts of the forum hard to access but so far, apart from posting my avatar pic which I had to do from my Mac, the rest seems ok. Thanks ^_^

Permanent Resident Posts: 12957 May 11 12 11:19 AM Master of the House (Owner) Slighty delusional yet harmless builder of this board grin	Yes, there are minimum posts needed to start a new thread, because we wanted people to get used to how this forum works (add to old threads with the right category) instead of just starting to post and make a chaos of the forum. It also helps a lot against spammers I didn't know I added that to the Fanart section as well. I'll make that one very low so that you can post your thread. Also: Helen and I are looking for ways to 'renew' the board. So if people prefer a board where they can just post new threads all the time instead of looking for one that is about the same topic, then we can open the board up and see how that is. Any changes you would like you can post in the new suggestion box thread that Chris opened. http://jamesmcavoy.yuku.com

I don't want to take the minimum posts thing away completely because it works so well as spam-protection, but you only need a few posts so you should have been able to make your own thread for a while already. In other forums it is there because we like to use existing threads to post in, but if people do not like that system, they can post in the suggestion box and we will see if we can change that for you. The fact you could not post an avatar must be a big, because that has nothing to do with what boards you go to. Strange. http://jamesmcavoy.yuku.com
