I guess James is mentioning the movie as he haven't seen it for a very long long time, from adult point of view, but he has very positive emotions and memories left, that's why he keeps telling that the movie is the best
I haven't seen the movie yet, I plan to find and watch it - just "to widen my horizons" in James likes and dislikes. I have to admit, that I love Disney movies, cartoons and still sometimes read "Mumintrolls" or such kind of stories taking a bath Of course, now I stay cool about majority of movies I've seen as a kid or books I used to really like - they seem childish.
Maybe it's just bullocks, but what if James really likes the movie and it turns out to be trash? Will I change my attitude? No way!!!! It's even great that James still has a young boy inside, who can enjoy childish movies. I would be worried if he enjoyed some bloody horrors or dull jokes from....hm...let's just say teens comedies. From what I've seen I think that James is still The Man in a classical meaning of the word and he can be tough. Personally, I would like my husband to be tough and reliable, but also gentle and understanding.
So, James, keep watching Goonies, my HDD packed with cartoons is available for you at any time
