My mom actually watched LKoS before me (she was at my brother's house and they had rented the DVD - she loved the film)...then I made her watch Rory O'Shea and she loved it as well, and I said "He's the same actor who played the doctor in the Idi Amin film" and she was like "Really? He was great in that film!" "Well, he IS great", said I.

When "Atonement" was in theaters, I told her she absolutely had to watch it on the big screen, and not wait for the dvd, so we went together (it was my fourth time watching it! ) and she ADORED it. Now she tells everyone it's her favorite film ever, and she listens to the soundtrack on a daily basis. Next we watched "Penelope" (loved it as well, and recommends it to people) and "Macbeth" (She was a bit impressed with James being so mean in it!).

I guess she's already a converted, altough she won't admit it!
