Another interesting quote from AM:

'It's true, acting does make you feel vulnerable, even though I'm one of the few who seems to be in constant work. Most of my college friends are hardly ever in work.'

That must put a strain on friendships. 'Sometimes you are made to feel...'

She trails off. 'Well, you are aware of the injustice of it. But I'm not 21. I've done my time. And the whole notion of what makes a good actor is so subjective. A matter of taste. I myself can look at someone and say: "I know they are a really, really lovely actor, but they don't turn me on." That's part of it, too.'

and another one:
Since leaving Shameless, you've had a wide variety of roles. Do you feel like you've had control over your career?

I do feel like I've been quite lucky and I've been able to be quite selective. I can be quite stubborn about work - if I don't think it's been any good. That said, I haven't been in a position where I've had to support a child. Your priorities change at different points in your life, don't they? I've been able to be creatively selfish.
