That's an excellent point Bluebell. I have to agree with you that James probably didn't realize how big Wanted would be. Or that he was being particularly strategic in choosing the role of Wesley.

However, he's definitely smart enough to recognize that comic/action genres are blockbuster venues. I, myself, tend to prefer other styles of movies but am still a sucker for an occasional Indiana Jones style American action blockbuster. I actually almost didn't see Wanted because of all the violence I knew would be included. Luckily for me, I thought it was comedic at its most gruesome.

That said, NOW he knows the reaction to Wanted and also knows W2 would be a huge flick. We'll see if he chooses to go that direction. I think he will so that he can continue pursuing completely different roles in the future...
