If indeed these are all AM's responses then I feel this way about this interview.

I adore AM but think she showed poor judgement in her analogy. I've never been abused but worked with quite a few women who have and to me this was very insensitive of her.

She is such an intelligent woman that she could have compared it to something else, even something one could relate to in a good way. Sorry there are just NO MOMENTS that can MAKE UP for any kind of abuse.

"I know sometimes I have days where I hate myself, think, "I can't do this, why am I even kidding myself?" But it's like an abusive lover - the moments that are really good make up for the crap!"

ACTOR, ANNE-MARIE DUFF
"My connection with Women's Aid began in the name of research. I was about to start work on a film in which I was playing a woman breaking free of a violent marriage. The BBC put me in touch with Women's Aid. The women I met; both the carers and the women who'd been forced to seek refuge, were all very welcoming. Anxious not to be misrepresented, they were open, brave, funny and generous."
