Here's some more info from the OP who posted on IMDb...

Excuse me. What I mean is that Giamatti and Anne Marie Duff had less screen time, McAvoy is a co-lead (Cassey Affleck in "Jesse James").

James McAvoy is like Tolstoi's support. Tolstoi has problems with her wife (she begins the movie being the wife who likes her husband's work but ends going mad, then she stops being the supportive wife to become the mad wife). When this couple's relationship troubles begins, McAvoy turns to be the support for Mr. Tolstoi. It's like a triangle. I'm not sure of McAvoy. He has good screen time and nice acting but not EXTRAORDINARY. Plummer and Mirren are EXTRAORDINARY. McAvoy is NICE.

Giamatti was very good (excuse me for the confussion I've written before) but, as McAvoy and Anne Marie Duff, they don't SHINE. The show belongs to Christopher Plummer and Helen Mirren. This biopic was better than "Kinsey", for example (and I loved Laura Linney).

I don't know exactly how it was but I would say that...

ACTING TIME:
Christopher Plummer - 1 h 50 minutes (the entire movie)
James McAvoy - 1 h
Helen Mirren - 40/50 minutes

I think the movie's running time was 2 hours (can't remember it exactly).

James and Helen are always on screen with Christopher Plummer.

They only have one scene together where Christopher is not.

The audience reacted very good, they clapped at the end of the movie when Christopher and Helen's names were on closing credits.

I think both (Plummer and Mirren) will get Oscar nominations, and also the art direction, costumes and score (a brilliant score, if you let me say).

Thanks for the news from TIFF, Larisie. So it sounds like the film was accepted, but they pulled it. I had heard a rumor from someone on IMDb earlier that the director and producer weren't seeing eye to eye on the final cut of the film, but I assumed since they submitted it that it was just a rumor or they had resolved their differences. Hannah or I can contact Zephyr but they're not going to 'fess up to an in-house squabble if that's what it is. Maybe the producer wants some changes before it's shown in Rome. Someone on IMDb mentioned they thought the AFI Film Fest might be a possibility too. It's the first week in November.
