"Top stars, real-life stories, master filmmakers - the best Telluride by the Sea I've seen," said Patricia Lynch, executive director of The Music Hall, about films debuting Labor Day weekend at the Telluride Film Festival in Colorado, and which will play at the Telluride by the Sea at The Music Hall Sept. 18-20.

The list of stars includes Helen Mirren, Christopher Plummer, Emma Thompson, James McAvoy, Paul Giamatti, Alfred Molina and Audrey Tautou

The weekend kicks off with "Coco Before Chanel," the smash hit in France that traces the famed designer's early life, with a superb performance by Tatou.

On Saturday, two short documentaries will be featured - "The Solitary Life of Cranes," which explores the invisible life of a city through the eyes of crane drivers high above city streets; and "The Last Truck: The Closing of a GM Plant."

Those are followed by another real-life story, "The Last Station," a comic-dramatic account of Russian author Leo Tolstoy's final months with an ensemble including Plummer, Mirren, McAvoy and Giamatti. That's followed by the film "An Education," featuring Peter Sarsgaard, Emma Thompson and Molina.
