Yes, it was a bit busy - and somewhere in between I was at the stage door twice and had dinner between performances.

I really wanted to see IAT because I had not seen AMD on the big screen since Magdalene Sisters. It's a quiet film - solid script, solid performances, etc. It did suffer from something I find very common in small films (especially British ones) in that they film too often relies on stereotypical scenes (I don't know how to put this right now). For example, if a British film has a care facility (for seniors, or physically handicapped, etc) they are required by some law to include the scene where some overly kind person comes to entertain the residents with songs meant for children and the protagonist of the film makes it clear that they resent being patronized and insults said kind person. This makes the films a bit predictable.

I don't want to be negative about the film - I've just been noticing these standard scenes in a lot of films lately. I enjoyed the film and AMD is always great with David Morrissey. (And they're matched up for a 3rd time in Nowhere Boy).
