Hi Orient - I cannot find TLS being listed on the Rome International Film Fesival site nor AFI's site either?? But do recall it was supposed to be shown there in addition to San Sebastian International Film Festival (starting Friday the 18th) but when I search their site, I get "no results"???

I do hope that it will be shown at The London Film Festival being the "Surprise Film" - to me it makes good sense, but who knows?

To give you a little background of the US Regions.......So far, it's being show this week where the Telluride Film Festival was just held. Then on 9/19 in Portsmouth, New Hampshire (Eastern part of the US) it is so far being shown at "The Music Hall" called "Telluride by the Sea". It is giving folks on the "East Coast" who were unable to attend Telluride (Colorado - considered Western, South Western part of the US). Portsmouth is on the Coast, hence "Sea".

A little farther North of Portsmouth and more inland is where Dartmouth College is hosting a showing and a Q&A with Parini on Sunday the 20th. It shows three times that day.

Sundance is in January, me thinks you got confused with my talk of The Conspirator possibly being shown there. Understandably confusing, so much going on lately! Sundance is in Utah in Janaury 21st thru the 31st. Their site says this regarding the line-up for 2010

Check back in December 2009 for the Online Film Guide with descriptions and schedules of the 2010 program. http://festival.sundance.org/2010/

It did not make a showing at Toronto and from the google alerts I have - it appears that distributors are not eagerly picking up films either. Those that we are hearing a lot about have already been picked up (some since Cannes) and are advertising when they hit Movie Theaters here. "Up" - "Up In The Air", "Whip It" (which btw is receiving good reviews - go Drew Barrymore, this is her film), "The Informant" - just to name a few.

I think there are so many festivals now and at least three are overlapping - TIFF, Venice and San Sebastian. Geeshhh!
