The festival wraps up tomorrow night (Saturday the 19th). What a great week! image

I saw Ricky Gervais's film The Invention of Lying today at noon. REALLY FUNNY! Brilliantly written, with a surprising list of celebs in cameo roles. His co-star, Jennifer Garner, was very good too. She's never bowled me over but I like her and I really liked her in this. She as great comic timing.

I also saw Glorious 39 starring Romola Garai, Bill Nighy and Julie Christie. I was also pleasantly surprised to see that Juno Temple (Lola in Atonement) was in it as well as David Tennant and Christopher Lee. Must have been like old-home week between Juno and Romola. Anyway, Romola was just stunning and her acting was spot on. Her name is Glorious in the film and the story is set in 1939, which is where the title came from. It's a pre-WWII suspense drama. Good plot. Fab costumes and settings. I won't give too much away but it will be released in the UK on November 20th.

No pictures today. Didn't see any celebs. image

The final day of the festival has the big double gala for The Young Victoria starring Emily Blunt, Rupert Friend, Paul Bettany, Miranda Richardson, and Jim Broadbent. I don't have a ticket but I will probably do the red carpet thing and see what pics I can come up with. image I think Sarah Ferguson, The Duchess of York, produced the film and I believe she's expected to be here too.
