Permanent Resident Posts: 6073 Feb 17 09 11:20 PM Existing just to kiss you Board Contributor	Well, if my VISA card wasn't taking enough of a beating crossing the big, blue ocean to see James, I just bought a ticket to see Paul McCartney at The Joint at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. One night only - 4,000 person venue. I'M PSYCHED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Also booking seats to The Beatles/Cirque du Soleil LOVE show the night after. Been anxious to see that for YEARS.

Paul, Ringo and a bunch of other artists are playing Radio City Music Hall for a fundraiser on April 4th (David Lynch Foundation). Man-oh-man, would I love to go to that!!!!

When we went to see Paul in 2002, my friend got our tickets online in literally the first minute and a half after they went on sale at 10am that day. She went back to the website about 10 minutes later, and the show was already sold out. What sucks is that many of those seats might have been snatched up by ticket brokers, which isn't necessarily fair.

Knows where the spare key is hidden Posts: 454 Apr 8 09 12:49 AM	Good news--Apple has FINALLY remastered the Beatles' catalog, and the release date for the new CDs is 9-9-09. (Happy birthday to ME!! I know what I'm asking for!) I still won't give up my vinyl, though. That's how I first heard them when I was growing up, and nothing replaces the way they sound on a record.

But so I was talking with my mom not so long ago about her half sister's ex-husband and she was saying how he used to be in the band Wings which was also referred to as "Paul McCartney and the Wings" and I thought it was pretty cool how my aunt's ex-husband was in a band with Paul! I wonder if my aunt ever met Paul... So yeah, that's my story... haha

There were several incarnations of Wings so it could have been any of the following: Denny Laine Henry McCullogh Denny Seiwell Jimmy McCulloch Geoff Britton Joe English Laurence Juber Steve Holley Denny Laine was the only consistent member of Wings (other than Linda, of course).

I've got the Paul McCartney concert (at The Hard Rock) on Sunday night and The Beatles/Cirque du Soleil show "LOVE" on Monday night. I'm getting excited!!! Keeping my fingers crossed that the GA admission to The Hard Rock is not going to be a nightmare. Seeing Paul in a 4,000-person venue will be pretty amazing anyway.
