Greetings JMMB,  It is a pleasure to "meet" you all. I have been reading (lurking, I suppose) your posts for a while....coming here more & more frequently....until it became a daily visit. I enjoy the JM updates & very much enjoy your friendliness towards one another.  I doubt I'll bring much new info to the board since you guys are my main source of new info, but I convinced myself to join none the less.  I have tried, rather desperately at times, to get friends & family to be as enthusiastic about JM & his films/shows as I am, but can not seem to find a JM-watching buddy.  So I come here for kindred spirits!!

To give you an idea of my age, my 17 yr old daughter is a fan & we have seen every movie, mini-series & tv show we can get our hands on over the past couple of years (many we ordered from the UK...we are in the states).  But she has happily moved on to applying for college & hanging out with her boyfriend (which is all good).  I am attempting to recruit others to join me in my obsession (well, not quite obsession....but here I am on JMMB!!!  so....).  So while I bribe folks to watch JM movies & wait until one of them gets that look on their face.........I'll hang out with you guys.

I have never really had a fav actor before. There have been many I liked, but none where I felt compelled to buy their entire catalog of work!!

There is just "something" about James. (of course I could go on & on about that something.....but clearly you all could, too!!  Yay!!)

I am very new to the board also.  You can join Alice & I in our "de-lurking" mode!!  It is so nice to have a place to read about JM news & see a great collection of pics & interviews.

Becoming Jane was the 1st movie I saw as well & it is still my favorite, he played such a beautiful, fun, ornery character....great to watch (& I love the musical score & costumes, too).

Sounds like you watched a lot of his movies in a short time.....what hits me the most when I watch his movies close together, is how VERY different he is as each character....more than most "Hollywood" actors.  He really inhabits the character, so much so, that he doesn't even look like himself....at all...& each character looks completely different from the last. I can't wait to see what he does with the new movies he's been working on!!!
