I promised Lucia to post an image posting tutorial. there are several ways to do this on YUKU but I will start with the easiest way:

Okay the first way I want to teach you is how to post images using Photobucket, since that is the most widely used way and will work on any other board or forum as well.

Posting images using Photobucket

First thing you do is go to http://photobucket.com/ and click the big red button that says JOIN. Then you register a new account for yourself.
Log into the account.
You can create albums in your account if you want to, which is advisable to do. You can call the album for this forum James or McAvoy or JMMB for instance.
Now click on the name of the album in your album list to make sure you are inside the album.

There are now two easy ways to upload an image.

1. from your computer:
Make sure the first tab above the upload box is selected: Images from my PC (or if you are on a MAC it will say Images from my MAC)
Click the 'browse' button on the right of the first text field. (If you are using a browser in a different language, this button may say browse in your own language though)
You can now find the right folder and select the image you want to upload. A very small thumbnail of the image will appear left from text field. The file name will appear above it.
You can choose to give the picture it a name, by typing it in that text field, but you can also leave that blank (the picture will then get it's original name as appearing above the text field)
Now click the upload button underneath the text fields. A small clock-like feature will appear telling how far the upload is and once it is done, you will see a bigger thumbnail in the bottom of your screen under the album name.

2. Straight from the Internet/ from a URL
If you find a picture you want to post somewhere on the Internet, you do not have to save it to your computer first. Go to that image on the internetpage and click right on it. Depending on your browser you may now have several options:
  • If there is the option to copy the image location do that.
  • If there is the option to show the image do that and then copy the URL (=Internet address) that is in the address bar of the browser.
  • If none of these options are there choose 'image properties'. The URL will now show up in the pop-up window. Copy it.
Go back to the photobucketaccount.
This time select the third tab above the upload box saying: Web URL

Paste the copied URL in the first text field by right-clicking and choosing paste.
Click outside the field and a small thumbnail and the name of the file will show up just like it did when you uploaded from your computer.
You can give the file a name by typing it in the text field, but you can also leave it black again
Click the upload button and the bigger thumbnail will appear under the album name as well.

How to paste your uploaded image in your post:

There will be 3 or 4 text fields under the image. The last one will say: IMG Code. If you click in this field a little yellow line will show up telling you the line in the field has been copied.

Now go to your post on the board and put the cursor on the pace you would like the image to appear and right-click and choose 'paste' (or the equivalent in your own language)

Use the preview function to see if the image appears in the right spot.

This tutorial explains only the basics. If you want to know more about Photobucket you can find their tutorials here: http://tutorials.photobucket.com/index.html
