You can also tell me in the YUKU bugs thread or by PM what new topic I should start for you. Meanwhile my biggest apologies for this annoying bug, hopefully it will be dealt with soon.

Apparently there is a problem with members making new topics in here. So while I am trying to solve that, I will post a couple of posts like this so you can
start a new topic in here by replying to this post.. Once you have done that, I will change the title and remove this info.

Nice one, Hannah! And absolutely no need to apologise; it's hardly your fault that Yuku's being a pain
I was actually just wanting to post this link that I got from GoogleAlert this morning; apparently this bloke has managed to get a look at the Wanted script, although apart from being generally very snotty about it, he has very little of any use or value to say. What is it with these comic book nuts who are so precious about their fandoms? Jeez... Anyway, here is it, and I must emphasise that there are indeed a couple of spoilers in there, nothing particularly earth-shattering, though, I don't
think.

Okay, I am really scared of spoilers, so if you say there are some minor ones in there, I guess I'd better not read it.
Thanks for posting the link though. I know what you mean with the cmoic book nuts. If you go to the Wanted forum on IMDB, about 90% of posts are people whining that the film will suck because they changed the story. However, I did get from there that it has something to do with bullets that are able to go to the past and other Matrix like SciFi stuff and I love that kind of SciFi, so I have some high hopes for this film. (Also because I am hoping for some hot sex scenes with James and Angelina Jolie ).

I haven't even read what the story is about but I don't think I want to know too much!
I do hate the fact that whenever they talk about the movie in the paper or in magazines it's always Angelina's new movie....Ok, I know she's more famous than James but still.... |

I know what you mean. I think I saw Brad Pitt's name come up more than James's and he is not even IN the movie!
Still, it cannot be nice ot have thát much attention on your (private) life though, so I do think James is the one that is better off in this case (for now) |

To be honest, the article isn't really that spoilerish; it's mostly stuff we already know, about James' character going from wimp to assassin, his
training by Morgan Freeman, etc. etc. I just can't stand the petulant tone of the reviewer; I rarely frequent the Wanted IMDb board because it really is
full of nutjobs and people making themselves sound like whining brats. I know people are entitled to take their fandoms seriously, but hell, I'm pretty
hardcore about Harry Potter and am usually dismayed by how poorly the films measure up to the books, but I don't go around bitching about it; I'm
usually able to just enjoy the movies for what they are and know that they are in no way the equals of the books. No need for folk to get their knickers in a
twist about it. To be honest, I'm slightly terrified by Wanted in general, because I have a slightly queasy feeling about how it might turn out, but
I'm ready and hoping to be proved wrong.

Yeah you got a point there! There was a little bit on James in Elle a few months ago, about how he was a guy that was always good to look at!
I agree with you...and I think the movies shouldn't really be exact copies of the books...even though movies sometimes turn out more disappointing than the books were.... |

Hey thanks MQ, in that case I WILL read it.
I don't think people are allowed to take their fandom seriously. Not too seriously anyway. If people are not able to see it is all a little silly and are not able to look at themself and laugh about it without it taking away any of the enjoyment they get from it, then theymay be bordering on dangerous. If people can not see that no matter how much they are into someone or something that it is all relative, they may be seriously obsessed, and I for one think those people are scary as hell.. But that just IMHO..

Yep.. so that is why I like a lot of sillyness, so I don't starting taking my crush TOO seriously
However I am huge film nut, so get as serious as you want about film though. (As long as it is not about Lars von Trier, because I really hate that Dane!
Let's hope James will never work with him.. |
