Edited to say:
To the ones that have NOT read the book:
spoilerwarning: If you know nothing about the film and you do not even want to know if it is a happy or sad story, then do not read this thread. However that is all we are giving away in this thread, so if you don't mind that, it is okay to read it.
To the ones that HAVE read the book:
Be very carefull about spoilers. Use the special spoilerfunction if you need to (see 'About this forum' thread). However we have found out that is very hard talking about the book without giving away at least the general feel of it, so that is okay to talk about if you do it in very general terms. Read the posts already done, so you will know what is okay to talk about without using the spoilerfunction.
THANKS EVERYONE!

I'm not a very premiere-y sort of person, anyway. It's funny, I'm really looking forward to this film, but also kind of dreading it, because the
book was so, well, traumatic. I used to hate reading it. I love it to bits, but it killed me to get through. That almost certainly makes no sense,
but I suppose anyone who's read Atonement will understand. The sense of doom right from the first page. And also the fact that when I was reading the
section about Briony and the play, at the very beginning, I was thinking: Jesus, how did Ian McEwan get inside my head when I was 13? I probably
shouldn't admit that, but believe me, I was insufferable when I was 13.
I WANNA SEE THAT TOOO!!!
