It had been a long and emotional day, Steve had never been more tired, nor had he been more happy. He stood at the back of the room, looking out at the mass of people celebrating and smiled.

His whole life he had felt out of place, like he didn't belong. Coming from a house with money and parents with high expectations had left him feeling suffocated and trapped from an early age. But everything was different now; he had found what he had always been looking for.

He gazed over at his new wife, who was dancing with a very pissed Veronica. Veronica eventually noticed Steve staring whilst grinning like a Cheshire cat and immediately motioned him to join them. Steve just laughed and made his way over to them, trying not to fall over under the influence of a considerable amount of Champagne. Fiona and Veronica grabbed an arm each of Steve's and began to swing them in the air, encouraging him to dance.

It had been a long time since they had seen their old friends from Chatsworth, Steve knew that Fiona missed them terribly but tried not to show it. He missed them too, but he knew that, that couldn't compare to how Fiona was feeling. He had only known them for a couple of months, Fiona had known them her whole life, she didn't know anything else. Steve knew that they must have had something special for Fiona to just walk out on her life and her family for him, and he really appreciated it. But it didn't stop him feeling guilty.

Whilst being spun around by Fiona and Veronica he caught a glimpse of Frank, collapsed in the corner with a can of beer in his hand. There was a time that the site of Frank used to make Steve's blood boil, thinking about what a letdown he had been to his kids and the strain he put on those around him. But now he just smiled, he knew the children had their mum now and besides, nothing could spoil such a special day for him, not the mood he was in.

Lip staggered over, even more pissed than Veronica. "Con…..Con….Congrats…..sis" he eventually managed to splutter. He looked Steve up and down, "you could have done worse I suppose" he teased with a huge grin across his face, "then again, y…you could have done a lot better" Fiona smiled "what like I am gonna take relationship advice from you". Lip put a hand on Steve's shoulder as a sign of approval and then staggered over to the bar. Fiona looked deep into Steve's eyes, both of them happier than they had ever been before. "Come here" Steve grabbed Fiona's waist and pulled her in for a heartfelt kiss. "Are you sure your O.k." he whispered in her ear. "I couldn't be happier" she replied and hugged Steve tightly. "They can come see us whenever, you know that right" he replied with a sympathetic tear in his eye" Fiona knew how bad Steve felt for splitting them up, but she knew that he had a good heart and that he loved her more than anything, and that was all that mattered. "I can even go and see them" she said reassuringly. "Look, I know you think that you have pulled me away from my family, but I spent my Teenage life at home looking after kids that I never had. No-one should have to do that. Thanks to my useless parents my life was looking after 6 kids, fact is I didn't have a bloody life. You gave me an escape, you gave me my life back" she said tearfully.

Steve's face lit up, "your sure?" he questioned, eagerly awaiting an answer. "they know where we are, and more Importantly, I know where they are" she comforted. "Anyway the little buggers are old enough to understand that I need a life too".

The moment was cut short by Tony bursting through the door, a gun raised in the air. "Nobody move" he shouted, "you, your coming with me" he said shakily, pointing at Steve. "NOW".

(Sorry if I have got anything wrong based on the last episode but as you know I have not seen the 2^nd half of it, I am going by what I have read from Soph's episode summary and what I have seen from the first ½. Besides a bit of change is never a bad thing)
